Early one morning, the Lord gave to me that I would be testifying through a blog site. I inquisitively thought, a blog, Father? I never expected He would steer me in that direction. A few years ago, the Lord had me begin writing a book — even though it is not yet finished, I was thinking it would be the only venue of writing He’d have me publish. The Lord started to fill me with excitement about our new venture, then gave to me precisely what we would be calling it — The Lamppost.

I have waited for the Lord to tell me when to begin. Truthfully, I thought it would be in the much more distant future. Pleasantly surprised, it was only months later when He moved me to write our first message.

I am not computer savvy, and of course, the Lord knows this. Initially, when I thought on that, the Lord gave me He would help me with itand so would my husband. While preparing our first message, my husband asked me what I was writing. I shared with him what the Lord gave me, to which he excitedly responded, “I can help you set up the website!”

We ran into a technical issue my husband had tried to figure out. Given that my husband has his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering and writes software, that’s his area. There is nothing about me that cares to figure that stuff out. But I asked the Lord for help, and it was that morning He reminded me of something I had noticed within a tab – and it was the answer to the issue.

The Lord is gracious, and I am unapologetically in love with Him

My messages will be whatever the Lord compels me to write, but He has already given me our common theme: The Blood of Jesus.

There is a song that I used to listen to years ago on repeat while driving around in my car. The song is I Will Wait by Mumford & Sons. Not very long ago, the Lord reminded me of this very song and let me know that it is my song to Him.

Well I came home
Like a stone
And I fell heavy into your arms
These days of dust
Which we’ve known
Will blow away with this new sun
But I’ll kneel down
Wait for now
And I’ll kneel down
Know my ground
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
So break my step
And relent
You forgave and I won’t forget
Know what we’ve seen
And him with less
Now in some way
Shake the excess
‘Cause I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
Now I’ll be bold
As well as strong
And use my head alongside my heart
So take my flesh
And fix my eyes
A tethered mind free from the lies
And I’ll kneel down
Wait for now
I’ll kneel down
Know my ground, woo
Raise my hands
Paint my spirit gold
And bow my head
Keep my heart slow
‘Cause I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
